Feb 10th is Lunar New Year aka Chinese New Year! 🧨 🧧 🎊🥳 🥟🐟 🍜 😋..

Lunar New Year aka Chinese New Year on February 10, 2024 ushers in the year of the Dragon! 🐲…

Celebrating Lunar New Year the way I know best – by appreciating Chinese, Korean, and so many other Asian food cultures and the people from both the past and present who cultivated and created them. I also love to connect whatever culinary dots I can between the synergies between Asiatic and Africanic culinary cultures because there are several, including but not limited to: the huge role RICE plays, the love of leafy greens in soups or as sides, sesame seeds (aka benne), SEAFOOD (fresh fish, whole fish, crab, etc.) artful use of alliums like green onion, garlic... as well as sesame seeds (aka benne), peanuts and more!...

Lunar New Year aka Chinese New Year on February 10th, 2024 ushers in the Year of the Dragon! 🐲… when some of my fave traditional Chinese and other Asian savory delights like dumplings, whole fish and noodle dishes abound as they’re believed to bring luck and good fortune…... Shown here in this post enjoying the above mentioned delicacies + delicious greens from a local Chinese market, nutrient dense seaweeds, bean threads or “glass” noodles, great green teas …..
Receiving it all with the gratitude for each and every culinary culture that’s brought deliciousness to our nation’s tables today and way back in the day…
