BUT in this case there’s ALSO a great “BATTLE of BROOKLYN” (true!) tale to tell too — right on time for the 247th anniversary of THE FIRST MAJOR BATTLE that marked the beginning of our (then VERY new) nation’s War of Independence against Brittain which took place on August 27th, 1776 (and started — guess where?!) — that’s right, at and all around the site of The Old Stone House !…

Bordeaux was called Claret back then, Riesling was known as “Hock”, George Washington’s and all of Colonial America’s fave wine for that matter was Madeira — which is a ‘character’ in the fascinating historical narrative we’ll be sharing with ‘poetics’ & ‘theatrics’ (think ‘dinner theater ‘of sorts) that will add even more fun and meaning to this memorable evening you won’t want to miss …
